Yang Shouxiang is a man who was born in April 1963. He is not only Associate Professor and Master Instructor of Shandong Agriculture University, but also a member of Chinese Soil Institute and Chinese Plant Nutrition Institute together with Chinese Tobacco Institute.
He graduated from Soil Chemistry Department of Shandong Agriculture University in 1984 and received an undergraduate degree. He served as Assistant, Lecturer and Associate Professor in College of Resources and Environment of Shandong Agriculture University since July 1984.
Professor Yang teaches a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, such as, "Instrument Analysis", " Plant Nutrition and Quality Analysis ", " Fertilizer Analysis ", "Fertilizer Science", " Farm Produce Quality Detection", "Flower Nutrition and Fertilization". He won the third prize in young teachers teaching quality award of Shandong Agriculture University, he also received the second and third prize in outstanding teaching achievements award. Now, he recruits master graduate student of plant nutrition.
His main research field is Plant Nutrition and Fertilizer Manufacture, that is, he is engaged in Plant Nutrition Physiology, Compound Fertilizer Manufacture, Slow-release /Controlled-release Fertilizer Development. He has participated and completed all kinds of scientific research more than ten. such as, the National "948" Introduction Project, National Science & Technology Research Project, National Agriculture Spans Plan Project, State-level "Spark Program" Key Project, the "Eleventh Five-Year" National Science & Technology Pillar Program Project. Professor Yang won one first prize of National Science & Technology, one first prize of Shandong Science & Technology Progress Award, together with three second prize, two third prize. He also won three national invention patents and a utility model patent. He published more than twenty papers in domestic and foreign academic journals. He edited twelve national planning textbooks and literatures as editor, deputy editor and participant.
