Dr. Yuechao Yang is the professor of soil science in the College of Resources and Environment, Shandong Agriculture University, China. Visiting Scientist and Courtesy Faculty Professor, University of Florida.He received his B.S.(1998), M.S.(2006) and Ph.D.(2010) in Soil Science from Shandong Agriculture University. He came to the TREC (Tropical Research and Education Center), University of Florida as the visiting Scientist, and continual do the new fertilizer research based on the renewable biomass and Nanotechnology.He has been awarded the Courtesy Faculty Professor status at the University of Florida Tropical Research and Education Center. He has received many awards including the second prize of national science and technology progress award; First prize of Shandong province science and technology progress award; The Taian city Eighth Youth Scientific and Technological Innovation Award and Shandong Province Graduate Student’s Thesis Innovation Award. He has conducted and is conducting about 12 research projects in the new fertilizer research area. His research and extension program focuses on new fertilizer research and development; Management practices to improve nutrient use efficiency, plant nutrition and soil quality; Nutrient cycling and monitoring in soil and plant system. He has authored and co-authored over 24 research papers and 25 patents. He has chaired or co-chaired 6 MS students. Additionally, His new fertilizer technologies have been transferred to many fertilizer companies, and it has led to the development of fertilizer industry in China.
