The State Engineering Laboratory of Soil and Fertilizer Resources’ Efficient Utilization
The State Engineering Laboratory of Soil and Fertilizer Resources’ Efficient Utilization is approved by National Development and Reform Commission, aimed at improving the innovation ability of increasing Chinese grain production and promoting the innovation, demonstration and popularization of the key technology of high efficient utilization of soil and fertilizer resources.
The laboratory was constructed by Shandong Agricultural University , cooperative built by Shenyang Agricultural University, Hunan Agricultural University, Shandong Kingenta Ecological Engineering Co. Ltd., Baoyuan Bio-Agri Technology ( ShanDong ) Ltd., ShanDong AgrUniv Fert SciTech Co.,Ltd and Yuncheng( ShanDong ) Gongli Co., LTD. It has formed a platform for integrated technology’s research and marketing follows the combination of production, studying and researching. In the process of development, four research platforms have been established through laboratory construction. They are Soil Organic Fertilizer and Soil Quality Improvement Platform, Development of New Type Fertilizer Platform, Nutrient Precision Management Technology and Equipment Platform and degradation of soil management and ecological restoration technology. It has formed the industrialization of soil and fertilizer resources utilization and the system of technology extension service.
At the same time, it develops the pointed technical research in the view of regional problems of soil resources utilization in main grain producing areas. It can provide technical support for realizing the ability of national new food production and agricultural sustainable development through technical innovation and industrialization promotion.
Slow/controlled release fertilizer Technology Research Center
Slow/controlled release fertilizer Technology Research Center was approved by The Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China in October 2009. It was established based on Shandong Kingenta Ecological Engineering Co. Ltd., with Shandong Agricultural University and other units combined. It is an innovative platform combines slow/controlled release fertilizer basic research, engineering and technical transformation, quality testing, standards development, new product development and application demonstration. It is the only national research center in the field of Chinese slow/controlled release fertilizer industry. At present, the center has 210 members, scientific research establishments of 3000 square meters and pilot testing and industrialization workshop of 37000 square meters. The center has established a slow release fertilizer materials research laboratory, equipment research and development room, analysis inspection room, integrative laboratory, artificial climate chamber and pilot testing workshop. We have 360 sets of experiments testing equipments (such as plasma atomic emission spectroscopy, elemental analyzer, microwave digestion instrument, automatic determination of nitrogen analyzer, spectrophotometer, flame photometer, biochemical incubator, X-ray diffractometer, ion chromatograph and granulating machine) and 41 sets of test equipments(including raw material preparation, production equipment and relative auxiliary facilities ), cumulative equipment origin value of over 35,000,000 Yuan.
Perfect equipment detection of configuration and management can meet the needs of slow/controlled release fertilizer product’s research and testing. We have established slow/controlled release fertilizer experiment demonstrative bases throughout the country to promote the application study of slow release fertilizer.
Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Agricultural Environment
Shandong provincial key laboratory of agricultural environment was constructed by Shandong Province Education Department in July 2011. It comprises the following studies: Repairing pesticides polluted soils and eco-toxicology, Fertilizer pollution controlling and efficient utilization, Monitoring soil polluted and ecological effect.
There are 37 researchers in the lab including 10 professors and 16 associate professors. Among them, there are 24 people with PhD. We have undertook more than 30 projects including national natural science foundation and the subjects provided by ministry of science and technology, agriculture, environmental protection and so on. We have published SCI and embodied more than 100 papers of EI. Moreover, we have been awarded many rewards such as the second award of national science and technology progress.
Shandong Provincial Engineering Research Center of Agricultural Environment Pollution Controlling
The research center was permitted to construct by Shandong province ministry of science and technology. It comprises the following studies: Control of pesticide pollution, Fertilizer pollution, Pollution from livestock and poultry, soil and Water conservation and ecological security, and so on.
Control of pesticide pollution is about the foundation of pesticide residues and application of standards; the study and demonstration on control and repair of pesticide pollution; the study on ecological environmental toxicity that pesticide residues effected on biological.
Control of fertilizer pollution is mainly to control the environmental pollution through developing controlled release fertilizer. Pollution from livestock and poultry can be controlled during the whole culture process. The study on soil and water conservation and ecological security is to slow down soil and water conservation and ecological security though project measures.
Shandong Provincial Engineering Research Center of Controlled Release Fertilizer
The research center was constructed with Shandong province ministry of science and technology’s official approval. It realized “Enterprise-University-Research” cooperation and created a benign circulation precedent for slow/controlled release fertilizer “Research-Develop-Product-Market-Research” as the first provincial research center of controlled release fertilizer in China .
The center has achieved major breakthrough in controlled release mechanism, industrialization development and big area application on crops after many years. It has constructed the controlled release fertilizer production base with the largest size and the most varieties including the production capacity more than 650kt in coated fertilizer. Moreover, the center has realized a historical breakthrough to product controlled release fertilize on the large-scale. The controlled release fertilizer is not only good in controlled release properties, but also having more kinds and lower price. This production is suitable to be popularized application on large-scale to crops while its comprehensive technical index has achieved the international leading level.
